Wow, where the hell did the month go? It seems like February just arrived! I always love the start of a new month — it seems like there are always new opportunities to enjoy! But here we are, on the cusp of another month ending and a new one beginning. Bye-bye Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day for another year.
And… hello March! Please bring with you some warmer temps, because I am tired of being cold all of the time!
Happy Friday! It has been a longgggggggggggg work week, and I am seriously glad that the weekend is here. You know, I love working from home, but it really is the worst of both worlds at times. I never get a break. There are constant distractions. And because I try to fit in work wherever there’s the availability to do so, it seems like I never get a break, and all I do is work. Sigh.
But the weekend is here, so I am going to do my best to enjoy it, sans work! See you all next week!
I am a True Blood fan. I watched the show off and on a few years ago, and then got seriously into it during the fall of 2009. And by seriously, I mean that I buzzed through all of the seasons in a matter of two weeks — no small feat for a full time work at home mom of two young children.
True Blood is a hot show, one I highly recommend if you like vampires and naughtiness.
It’s 10:30pm and I’ve yet to take a shower. Instead, I’m waiting for a load of laundry to finish so I can switch things over. I’m not one to leave unfinished chores, if that makes sense. I know a lot of people follow the motto, “Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?” but I’m a subscriber to, “The more I do today the less I have to do tomorrow”. There’s nothing I hate more than getting up and not being able to shop for Kameleon jewelry because I’ve got dishes to wash and laundry to finish up. I’d much rather light a WoodWick candle, cuddle up with my dog and a blanket, and watch TV and do some of my freelance work! How about you? How do you like to spend your mornings?
I know it has been a few weeks, but I thought I’d ask anyway: did you watch the Super Bowl? Who did you cheer for? Without an ounce of shame I admit that I totally had my cheering going for STEELERS, whoo! They not only come from my state, but they come from Pittsburgh, a city I spent a few years in and have very, very fond memories of. ♥
Even though the Steelers ultimately lost, we had a great party. My husband’s brother and his brother’s girlfriend came over, and brought with them some rather tasty queso sausage dip (sounds weird, but it’s delicious I promise). My brother-in-law’s girlfriend and I had a great time making fun of various players and situations in the game, while the guys were all about the plays.
As much as I am not a football person, I freely admit to looking forward to next year’s Super Bowl!
