Where has the month gone to? One minute it was May, the next May is almost over. Now June is around the corner, and I’m excited because that means I can finally break out my tank tops and flip-flops, whee! Also, my 27th birthday is on June 13th. Ahh! I can’t believe I’m getting so old. When is your birthday?
I’m already predicting that the next several months of blogging will have a big focus on swimming and sunscreen. Summer is just around the corner, though it seems like up until a few days ago it was several blocks away. Seriously, this time two weeks ago I was running around in t-shirts with hoodies; today I’m wearing jeans only because my one pair of capris is in the wash, and a spaghetti strap tank top. Hello summer!
In any case, I’m glad I work from home, because if there’s one thing I hate doing in the summer, it’s running around in the heat. If I had to work outside of the home, I think I’d take an orange county jewelry job over a job involving lab coats. Lab coats are heavy and stiff and scratchy, whereas a jewelry store environment is usually quite cool and relaxing!
It’s a muggy 88° out right now, so it should come as no surprise that I don’t have the energy or desire to do much of anything today. I should go wash and dry the kids clothes and then put them away, but meh… I’ve gotten as far as getting the clothes sorted for washing, and that’s it.
More than anything, I want to get PAID today. Once I do, I’ll feel much better and probably much more energetic. But until that point… no.
I love titanium rings. I think they’re pretty, and I love that they’re non-traditional. Then again, I’m not really much of a traditional person when it comes to jewelry. For instance, I don’t like gold — I’d much rather have silver, or at least white gold. The only yellow gold I wear is my wedding band and engagement ring, for obvious reasons. Everything else I have, from other rings (including titanium rings) to earrings to necklaces, are all silver!
Working at home ain’t easy, especially for those of us with kids. I envy the few work-at-home women that aren’t moms on top of busy wives. Working at home wouldn’t be so bad, but working at home and taking care of kids? That part isn’t so easy. It’s seriously like trying to schedule massages in Huntington Beach in between running errands and composing a grocery list. It just ain’t happening!
