Kidding. Mostly. I have about twenty pounds to lose, but I am mostly happy with where I’m at. I had gastric bypass surgery, so I am unhappy with the loose skin I have on my upper arms and upper thighs, but that’s to be expected after losing such a large amount of weight (153 lbs and counting) in such a short period of time. I may consider working with a orange county physical training expert to help me get these last twenty pounds off, and to help with toning. I’m going to the YMCA with my husband a few times a week, but I don’t think I’m going enough!
I should post a photo of my left knee — it would make for an excellent blog post. I bruised the hell out of it, but what’s worse is that I did so on the side of my husband’s head. So while I am wincing at the pain every time something touches my knee or I simply bend it or move it, I feel even worse when I think about the fact that the side of my kneecap collided with the son of my husband’s skull. Ugh. Note to self: while you are no longer heavy enough to qualify for a long prom dress from the super plus size section, you’re still not a light weight!
In other news, I found my mother’s abandoned hamster (don’t ask) for the second time in as many days. What is with these Houdini hamsters?! Stay in your cages dammit!
Too many bloggers get so caught up in Google PageRank, that they neglect to approach and execute blogging practices with anything elsei n mind. Believe it or not, Google PageRank is not everything. Sure, it’s important, but your monthly visitors – unique visitors, pageviews, time spent on pages, etc. — is also quite important! You can build a community of quality backlinks to help boost you in the eyes of Google, but you can also take advantage of those backlinks by drawing in and keeping those visitors entertained.
Psst… you can check any website’s Google PageRank here!
I don’t know about you, but really upbeat music generally helps me keep my blogging smooth-flowing and consistent. Right now I’m all about Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani — two great female artists with hot, sassy and stylish music that I just can’t get enough of. It’s artists like these that make girls shake their voluptuous booties in their plus size dresses — which I’m all for, by the way. If you’ve got it, flaunt it!
I am all about Fridays these days. But then again, Fridays kind of suck because while they are a little quiet in and of themselves, they’re almost always leading up to a super-busy weekend. I have not had ONE single weekend off since mid-May. It’s always something: going out to the pool, going out with my husband, doing a day trip (recently we went to the Renaissance Faire), meeting up with friends, etc.
But that’s what summer is about, right? There’s always fall to rest up during! Haha.
