What is real life anyway, isn’t life just life? I guess for me real life represents those moments in one’s life that stand out from all the rest. The key people that made an impact and helped shape your life for the good or not so good, the major events that strike certain memories and all the other big or small moments that shape a person’s character.
Sometimes and it happens to all of at one point or another, life can come down on you pretty hard. Either death or illness, injury or a loss of employment or housing. What we do and how we react when these things happen says as much if not more about who we are as people than when things are great. Keeping things in perspective can be a challenge too, for some of us we get caught up in our own world that we tend to not realize there are other’s around us who are going through more difficult experiences.
It’s good to take a step back and remember that life is not necessarily short, but it is what we make of it. Embrace those who need our help and love whole heartedley those in our lives.
This is a cute shirt from Zazzle that helps me keep things in perspective.
Why is this worthy of blogging about? Well, if you have a business and want to see your business grow, see you product or service have a greater impact on a wider audience then each step of the sales and marketing process is important, all the way down to the providers you rely on.
With trade shows, it’s one of the best ways to get immediately in front of a very targeted audience and how you present yourself is crucial to your success. In order to set your best foot forward, you need to make sure your exhibit is representative of where you want to be, not where you are.
What I mean by that is, if you want to grow your sales, you need to present your image, your brand, your company in a light that says you already have those sales. You need to convey to prospects that you are on top of your game, not clawing your way to the top. You need to have the basics, electrical, flooring, decor, etc. but your overall booth design needs to be top notch. To do this, you need to make sure that when you are looking into Los Angeles exhibit manufacturers to work with, make sure they represent themselves in a way that excites you. Are they professional? Do they display brands in a way that makes you want to walk in? Do they have a team to work with that can focus on everything from design and layout to architecture and electrical?
Do your homework and make sure you are partnered with an exhibit company that is going to set you on the right path for success.
I have a pension for looking cute in situations where you are supposed to fit in. Let me explain, take golf for example. There is a specific dress code in golf that must be adhered to or your not allowed to play the course. And while this dress code has laxed over the years, there are still some rules that must be followed, collared shirts, slacks, no jeans, etc. So, when everyone falls suit, you tend to get everyone looking pretty much the same.
Well, that is where I differ. I abide by the rules, but I take opportunities like this to express my sense of style and fashion right up to the edge. If I can’t do it my clothes, then I do it with my accessories. And that leads me to why I am in love with what I call Cinda B Style. This line of handbags is made right here in the USA each and every Cinda B bags is made with he latest fabrics.
These bags are water-resistant and machine washable. They are extremely functional, which for me is priority number one, even above fashion. I love their sports line too, I use their golf tee bags and club covers as a my way of saying, “hey, I’m here, I’m a girl and, yes, I am cute, all the way down to me tees!”. When I can find a brand like that, I like to support them through and through.
I like to always look at things from a different perspective whenever possible. In this case, we’re talking clothing sizes. When you are looking for deals, you have the advantage if you are not your average size or typical physique that most of us strive for. The same goes for shoes, if you wear a size 7 or 8, forget seeing your favorite or must have shoe on sale in your size. If you are a size 5 or 10, you’re golden and are guaranteed that you pretty much never have to buy shoes at full price, ever!
With clothes, some teens are offended to consider themselves in the junior plus size category. They want to be model thin, a size two or even zero and they are willing to spend your hard earned cash on extensions, false eye lashes and any other image altering gimick out there. But, if you have a plus size teen, do not hold back on showing her the advantages of being slightly larger.
Now, if she is obese or overweight, you still want to consider a diet and exercise plan that will keep her health where it should be, but if she is healthy, but just happens to have a broader frame or a little extra curves, embrace it and show her how to embrace confidently, who she is.
Shopping is a treat when you approach it right. It can be a thrill to find a great outfit at half the cost and plus size clothing offers this option in that it’s not for everyone and the deals tend to come around a lot more often than not.
I live locally here in Southern California and I work in Huntington Beach, which is truly a paradise of a place to live and work. However, as gorgeous of a place it is, work is still work and the daily grind can really take its toll on your mind and body. Working in an office environment, you often times don’t take the time to make sure that your seated properly to avoid strain in your back and neck, I for sure don’t. So, I frequently take joy in scheduling a few lunch breaks that don’t involve food but just pure relaxation and a real workout on my achy muscles.
There are many places to go for massages in Huntington Beach, but my favorite place, and I do visit quite a few, is hands down, Cloud Mover Day Spa. I love the personal attention and the massages are reasonably priced. The location, is ideal as well. In addition to getting massages during the work day, a good idea to make sure you are preforming at your best, is to take short breaks with your eyes. Every fifteen minutes or so, make sure you glance away from your computer screen for a few minutes and get up to get some water. The movement will be good for your circulation and the water is always a good step towards hydrating your brain and muscles.
And definitely treat yourself once in a while to a massage. It’s good for you and you deserve a little peace and quiet that is focused on your well being.
