Popular Video Ads of 2013

Can you believe that 2013 is coming to an end? It really is true, the older you get the faster time goes. I can’t believe it’s time to flip the page to a new year. As the year winds down it’s always fun to reflect on the past events. From a marketing standpoint, 2013 was a huge year for video marketing, as was predicted would be in 2012. I was browsing on Practical Ecommerce and came across this article, 12 Most Shared Video Ads of 2013. I thought it was funny. Here is a preview but go to this article to see them all!

Unique Peninsula Display for Holiday Marketing

Holiday marketing has been in full swing for a few months. With companies beginning holiday marketing even earlier this year, some in September already, it’s no surprise that companies are thinking out of the box when it comes to strategy. Not putting all their eggs in one basket, companies are reaching out marketing efforts to social media, online, TV ads and online ads, among many other avenues.

Still in the running, trade shows showcase high importance, especially for an extra boost during the holidays. Stand out from the crowd with a unique peninsula display to catch more eyes during the holiday. Market a steep discount or hot new product for customers to get excited about. Don’t forget about catchy advertisements that get people laughing, like Kmart’s famous, “Shipped my pants” holiday edition.

What new trends have you noticed during this year’s holiday marketing?

Gifting Myself With a Few Massages in Orange County

‘Tis the holiday shopping season. It is in full swing, whether you like it or not. Although the holidays are extremely fun, they can also be extremely stressful. I tend to worry to much about what to gift people with or how much money to spend, by the time it’s all said and done my bank account gets down there, in an uncomfortable zone I hate being in. But hey, that’s the holidays, right?!

I am thankful that I have the opportunity to gift my friends and family but sometimes it’s downright draining. To relieve some stress from work, blogging and holidays I decided to gift myself with a few massages in Orange County. My favorites are deep tissue and hot stone, it hits the spot every time. If you have never gotten a massage, you really should. You will not believe how zen you feel afterwards. You could be running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off and after your massage you will completely forget all about your stress.

Keep Your Customers Coming Back to Your Facebook Page

When it comes to Facebook marketing, there is a right and wrong way to do it. Working online, I’m looking at Facebook business profiles all day every day. I see what works and what doesn’t work. What works? Pull marketing, posting original content that is sharable. What doesn’t work? Push marketing, pushing your customers with sales posts. Remember the reason they are on Facebook in the first place. To connect with friends and family, not to be given a sales pitch.

I just finsihed reading this interesting article from Social Media Examiner. There are some good tips showing how you can keep your Facebook followers to keep coming back to your Facebook business page. Many times, you create that business profile and people interact with it when it is fresh and new but then they slowly fizzle away. Make sure to keep things interesting by posting original content on a regular basis, reaching out to customers by replying to them or giving exclusive deals to your Facebook followers. Read this article to find even more ways to keep them coming back.

Online Holiday Shopping – Discounted Coach Handbags

I know I talk a lot about online shopping, being active online all day has it’s perks. I used to enjoy going to malls to shop, more than shopping online, but lately I have really been leaning more towards online shopping. Although shopping in a store has benefits, such as trying on and seeing the product physically, online shopping also has it’s perks, no lines or dealing with huge holiday crowds.

I usually won’t go shopping unless it’s during the week, in the evenings or online, especially for the holidays. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday next week, the sales are better than ever, and most of the time the same deals are also available online! Why would you go out in the Black Friday madness when you can get the same deal with the click of a button at home? I just found the cutest discounted Coach handbags online, at home in my pjs! Most times stores will have exclusive deals for online shoppers, which is how I got my Coach bags. I just haven’t’ decided if I will keep them or give them as gifts, like my plan was :)
