If you have children, what are the 10 things your child needs to make sure they see either before they become an adult or before they die, heaven forbid? Here’s my list.

- Six Flags amusement Park (any will do)
- Major league sporting event (baseball, football, etc.)
- Statue of Liberty
- Grand Canyon
- Skiing on the Rocky Mountains
- Smokey mountains of Tennessee
- Broadway musical
- a foreign country

If you’ve ever wondered while sitting in a car, plane, train or even coffehouse which came first, the chicken or the egg, someone apparently thinks they have the answer. British scientists claim that the chicken came first because an anzyme used to create the shell can only come from the chicken. OK, so at what point when the chicken evolved, did it spontaneously go to laying eggs?
This is usually not a blog that talks about celebrities, but if there was anyone that needed a blogging PR campaign, it would be Mr. Lethal Weapon himself. I’m not going to start it because I think he emptied his bag of marbles a while back. I had no idea his character had any kind of basis in his own personality.
Our local pool opens in just two days, and I can’t wait! We’re already planning a day trip to the beach for later in June, my birthday is on the 13th, and we’re going to spend a few days to a week down at the beach in late August/early September. But just because I’m chomping at the bit for some sunshine and water doesn’t mean I’m going to leave my blog behind. Of course not! Instead I’ll be blogging from the road, poolside, beach, whatever, thanks to my handy netbook, the HP Mini 311. If you don’t have a netbook, I highly recommend you get one! Even if you have a laptop, you don’t know what ease of portability is until you’ve had the pleasure of slipping a netbook under your vehicle’s seat, in your purse, etc.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have plus women swimwear to go shopping for! Have any specific store recommendations?
So, it’s Valentine’s Day. And nerd that I am, I’m sitting here blogging. But, and no offense to my wonderful husband, I don’t think I could possibly spend every waking moment of Valentine’s Day celebrating it. So, what are our plans for today? Well, we’re going out to dinner tonight. I’m currently fighting off pneumonia, and we have like three feet of snow outside, so we’ll probably keep things pretty low-key, minus our dinner out later. As far as gifts go, I have something nice for him, and I hope there is some personalized jewelry for me. ♥
We have kids, and we also celebrate Valentine’s Day with them. We give them candy and little chocolates, and earlier this weekend my daughter and I made heart-shaped rice krispie treats, and both my daughter and my son decorated sugar cookies with Valentine’s Day themed sprinkles.
What do you do for Valentine’s Day?
