Blogging themes

What is the consensus on free blogging themes? Do you see them as a great tool for getting a blog up with a different look from others? Do you see them as very interchangeable, like the cookie-cutter houses we see in the newer suburbs? I don’t want to voice my own opinion yet, cause I’m curious about what others have to say.

You can blog on anything

I just found out about a guy who is attempting to break a world record by living in a room for 4 months with 40 venomous snakes. This nut job is documenting his progress from his website as he attempts to break the world record held by a fellow South African. Pardon me while I faint now.

Favorite place to blog

I have trouble blogging when I’m in a busy location, like a Starbucks or some other public meeting place. In order to get my thoughts organized, I need to be in a location that doesn’t distract me. My favorite place to blog is in my kitchen, which is where I am right now. It’s peaceful, serene, and distraction-free.

As we move more into the WYSIWYG world of blogging, the need for html literacy is dwindling. However, there is no such thing as useless information when it can help you out in a pinch. If you want to see real html code at work, check out this entry.

Coffee helps with cancer

Well, if you’re like me and like to get your blog on in a Starbucks or some other coffee shop, a new study claims that four cups of coffee a day reduces the risk of head and neck cancer. You won’t sleep a lot, but then sleep is a little overrated anyway, right?
