Visions of wedding favors and bridesmaids gifts have been dancing through my head during the last few days, due to my husband being a groomsmen for his best friend, whose wedding is tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow. Last week I ran around like an idiot looking for a potential outfit to wear to the wedding. After I hit up five different stores and finally settle on a dress that only makes me look slightly pregnant and a pair of black shoes that won’t leave blisters any bigger than quarters behind, I’m told that I’m also expected to attend the wedding rehearsal dinner. The dinner is tonight, and I was informed of it last night. Argh!

So this morning I got up, threw myself in the shower, and then ran out to Fashion Bug to see what I could dig up. Initially I planned on wearing all black, but after being unable to find a black skirt and feeling put-off by a black wrap being lighter in color than a pair of black capris, I settled on a cute brown shirt that’ll go quite well with my embroidered-pocket jeans and a pair of brown wedge slingbacks. Yes, I am wearing jeans to a wedding rehearsal dinner. I like to rock out like that.

I blog for a living and I blog because I love to blog, but sometimes it’s hard to do either when I’m interested in shopping instead. A friend of mine often links me to the latest Woot deals, so then I get sidetracked and look at them. Or I’ll see what’s on sale with Alight.com or FashionBug.com. Or I may have to write about a particular subject, like wedding favors, or professional clogs, and get wrapped up in checking out all of the beautiful candles and such that most wedding favor sites offer.

Other times, like tonight, I’ll be in the midst of blogging when my husband comes home from work, and he’ll dump a pile of Sunday ads and coupon flyers in my lap, and next thing I know I’m checking out the sales instead of finishing my blog entry.
